A dynamic, fun and life changing health system integrating  modern medical principles with eastern philosophies.

Based on hatha yoga and qi gong practices, as well as Five Element Theory, Japanese Yoga is a simple, direct and effective practice for training the hara.  Japanese Yoga works on correcting posture and breathing to balance AND strengthen our centre, or hara, so we can begin to cultivate inner tranquility and balance.  The moves are very practical exercises designed to help you feel happier and healthier. 

Through the practice of moving meditation, a naturalness is restored to the body, heart-mind and lifestyle so that you can attain a state of peace, health and happiness.  We also incorporate elements of Hogushi Massage as taught to us directly by Saburo Ishii Sensei to help make our practice more enjoyable and easier.

Simply put, Japanese Yoga is a complete and systematic practice for cultivating energy and training the hara day in and day out.


Japanese Yoga is a training system for the mind, body and spirit that is suitable for everyone from 7 to 97.
Hara is a Japanese term which refers to the belly or centre of our being.



Classes are one hour in duration and tailored to suit the needs of those present and to the seasonal attributes.  We provide real tatami mats in a dedicated Japanese Yoga space so all you need to bring is yourself!

Our classes are limited to 8-10 people which means that you get the attention you deserve! 
Classes are run by health professionals, making sure you stay safe and achieve your potential.

For best results we recommend that you combine yoga with shiatsu bodywork and food therapy.

INTRODUCTORY OFFER

$30 for 10 consecutive days of yoga

FOR THE CASUAL STUDENT
$25/class

$225 10 class pass (70 day expiry)


FOR THE MORE SERIOUS STUDENT:
$50 per week prepaid unlimited classes 
$175 per month prepaid unlimited classes (calendar month)
(on 6month plans, ie minimum investment is $1300 and $1050 respectively)
$950 per 6 months prepaid unlimited classes




PRIVATE SESSIONS

If the above times don't suit your schedule, you are  after a little more attention, have an existing injury or simply looking for a safe introduction to Japanese Yoga, private sessions are available to ensure you get the individualised yoga you need!  During the session, specific remedial moves targeted to you will be taught and then you will be given a written set of asanas to take home as practice.
